Team WhyMommy
Monday, December 3, 2007 at 7:11PM As some of you have noticed, I have this cute pink and white button up on the top right side. I would like to take a few minutes to explain a little bit about this great group of bloggers and tell you what we are all about!
You know how when you regularly read a blog you start to feel a sense of kinship with the author? This is exactly what has happened to a group of us that read over at Toddler Planet.
I have been reading WhyMommy’s blog over at Toddler Planet for a few months now...just a little over a year, actually. WhyMommy, (aka Susan) is witty, insightful, and relevant. It is one of those blogs that I seek out immediately when I notice that the feed has been updated on Google Reader. At the beginning of last summer, WhyMommy disclosed that she had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It has been heartbreaking to read of her account so far. She is keeping her spirits up and is encouraging us to keep ours up as well. She has posted on some of the usual fare (mom stuff etc…) as well as many posts on her battle with Invasive Breast Cancer. Check out this post titled The Diagnosis and this one Hair Today… Both are touching. Recently, she wrote an AWESOME guide to helping friends cope with their own diagnosis. Her mission is awareness, and this post about IBC is what she wishes all of her supporters to share with their readers.
Stop on by Toddler Planet. Give her some encouraging words. Share your survivor story. Tell her I sent you.

Thank you, Christy! That was a great post, and I am humbled that you're still thinking of me and went to the trouble to put that together. I added it to my Team WhyMommy page at the top -- and it's making me smile tonight, as I sit up trying to feel better again. Thank you for that.
