WFMW: Speed Clean the Washing Machine

I'm so overwhelmed with comments for the Vera Bradley Bag Giveaway that I totally forgot about WFMW until about 2 minutes ago. So here. You get a repeat!

Also, go vote for my cousin-in-law's dog over at the Bissel Cute Dog contest. If she wins, she gets to donate $10,000 to her favorite charity!

This was my very first WFMW post a few months ago.

So, I had a little ephiphany a few weeks ago. While doing a load of laundry, I commented to myself that it was time to clean the front of my front-loading washer. It is in our laundry room, which happens to be the room that my dogs use for eating and playing.

Here’s the deal. I was washing a load of my dishtowels, and I noticed this grime. I took my Spray’n’Wash Bottle and sprayed some on the dirt and wiped it off with an already dirty towel. I then threw the towel back in the washer! So my tip is, use your spray spot remover to “quick clean” your washing machine! You don’t have to dirty up any extra towels, and it’s quick because you already have your spot remover handy.

That’s what works for me! What works for you?

What a great idea! I've used dirty towels to clean up the laundry detergent that I might spill, but never thought to clean the whole washer with it, lol. Thanks for sharing the tip!

    Great idea!
And I tried to vote for your sister's boyfriend's mother's 2nd cousin once removed, but the link didn't work. :)

Neat idea. My pups are in my laundry room too. Think I'll use on the floor too.

I do the same thing... I usually do it when I am spraying my clothes. I spray them on the lid (no front-loader), then use a towel to wipe the excess. Works great!

Another work for me....carpet cleaner works really well to remove tough stains from clothes!
