WFMW: Extend the Life of Your Dryer Sheets

    WFMW Banner

    Here's my tip:

Because I am very particular about the dryer sheets that my family uses, I usually don't scrimp on them. That means they are fairly expensive. So in order to stretch their life a little longer, I usually cut or tear them into pieces before I add them to the dryer. I have found that the load does not suffer and I am able to get 2-3x the life out of my dryer sheets. I use the leftover ones to clean the lint filter.

So....what's working for you? Head on over to Rocks in my Dryer to find more tips and tricks!

Have you ever tried dryer balls? I bought some a couple of years ago online somewhere for about $7. I don't recommend them when the kiddos are trying to catch a nap, but they do a good job at eliminating static, softening up your clothes, and making the load dry faster.

I cut mine up too. I do cut them (but probably that is what ruined my good scissors ;-)) as it cut down on the flutter dust that occurs when rippin' em :)

Good tip. I never thought about cutting them. I keep scissors in the laundry room too.

You have been tagged for the "What’s On Your Refrigerator?" meme. It is a Meme and a contest! I'll be giving away two free home organization books. Read all about it at my blog.

So true! Cutting them in half saves money and they work just as well. Great WFMW tip!

This is such a good tip. I started doing it about 3 months ago and it really makes a huge difference!

I used to cut them in half as soon as I brought them home from the store, but I got out of the habit. Thanks for reminding me of this great tip!
