Snow in Arkansas?
Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 12:26AM
Yep. It snowed in Arkansas this week. I'm just glad I wasn't there for it.
Geez. If I had gone down south only to be greeted by snow, I probably would have had a mental break-down.
Everyone down there seemed to enjoy it though, including my grandmother.
This is my dad's mom, Grandma Dot (Ironically, Dr. D has a "Grandma Dot" too). She is 81 years old and has lived in "the South" her entire life. Over her shoulder, you will find her very first digital camera. She has no idea how the pictures get off of there, but she really enjoys taking pictures of anything and everything. My mom took this picture after she and my dad caught Grandma outside taking pictures of her "snow covered" house. I love this picture! I think that she looks so happy here, though I must point out that she does not have on a coat. We would have been in trouble if we "were out playing in the snow without a coat!"
It didn't last long for them though. All of their snow is gone. Perhaps I should send them some of ours. We had 5.5 inches fall last night, officially making it....
Drumroll, please.........
THE SECOND SNOWIEST WINTER ON RECORD HERE!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously. The second snowiest winter on record. And we have enough of "the season" left to surpass the record. We have had 76.9 inches of snow so far, and we only need 7 more inches to surpass the record holding 83.9 inches of 2004-2005.
Snow, Snow, Go Away, Come again another winter!!!

Yeah, I think we've hit the snowiest winter around here too... I agree with Karen - we could use a little 'global warming' around here! :)
